Piano Lessons with Aris C.

Aris is a classical and jazz piano teacher with several years of experience working with students of different ages and skill levels. He taught at the Kalamazoo Music School from 2021 to 2024, where he provided private piano instruction, prepared lesson plans, and communicated with parents about student progress and practice expectations.

He also worked as a piano instructor at the Gilmore Piano Camp, teaching both private and group lessons. His instruction included piano technique, music reading, theory, ear training, musicality, and performance preparation.

Aris earned a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies with a concentration in piano from Western Michigan University. His teaching is grounded in strong musical fundamentals and adapted to each student’s age, experience, and learning style.

In lessons, Aris helps students develop note-reading, rhythm, technique, and a practical understanding of music. His teaching style is friendly and upbeat, with clear, structured instruction so that students become confident and independent at the piano.
