Robyn Reid, Cello
Robyn has a Master's Degree in Education from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, CA, and a Minor in Music with an emphasis in performance from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). While at UCSB, she studied with Geoffrey Rutkowski, Principle Cellist of the Santa Barbara Symphony. She has performed and recorded with a variety of groups in Southern California and Texas including the Claremont Symphony Orchestra in Claremont, CA, Point Loma Nazarene University Orchestra in San Diego, CA, and the Sinfonietta of Fort Worth in TX.
She is currently the praise team leader for Ridglea Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth, Texas where she leads a band as a guitarist and singer in addition to playing solo cello repertoire. Robyn is a positive and encouraging instructor, who emphasizes proper technique, music theory, and fundamentals by teaching through a variety of musical styles ranging from classical to popular music. She considers herself to be a coach and facilitator and works with her students to set realistic, achievable goals.
