Nicholas Patrick Quigley, Violin & Viola

Boston Violin Instructor

Nicholas Patrick Quigley is an independent composer and violist based in Boston, Massachusetts. Best known as a creative and interdisciplinary musician, he is also currently a teacher, researcher, and artistic industry consultant.

Nicholas earned a Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Massachusetts, where he studied viola with Dr. Mark Berger and Dr. Mark Latham,  and earned the Chancellor's Music Scholarship. Nicholas is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Music Education at Boston University School of Music, where he studies string pedagogy with Dr. Daniel Doña. 

As a passionate teacher, Nicholas has taught in a variety of settings, including private lessons, string quartet coaching, class room instruction, and orchestra conducting. As an undergraduate student, he maintained a private studio and taught with the UMass Lowell String Project. More recently, Nicholas has worked with the Boston Youth Symphony and at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. To find out more, visit nicholaspquigley.com.
